Belonging Definition

One thing I realised is teachers making the word, Belonging, a friggen heck of a big deal! Asking stupid questions about what it means, how do you see it, how do you know, how to describe it... and more stupid questions... so many that we too begin losing the true meaning of what Belonging is defined. So to make life easier and to settle things down, here I have listed as much definitions as possible!

Feel free to contact us if you want to add yours!

  1. Happiness felt in a secure relationship.

  2. Acceptance for who you are.

  3. To be owned by.

  4. Having a meaning and destiny.

...belonging is based on how we feel bout the connection we have with the group we 'belong' to. e.g

teenager in family, the teen wishes to be an atheist in a family of Christians, he was born into the family yet he feels that because he has a different view on life that he doesn't really belong with his family.
